Join us at Armistice Coffee Roosevelt for one last discussion of the book Fossil Capital, by Andreas Malm, plus this new article “The False Promise of Nuclear Power“, from Monthly Review Online. We’ll focus the last 2 chapters of the book, touch on things we’ve shortchanged, and compare the book and the article. We’ll also talk about what to read next.
You don’t have to live in City Council District 4 or 5, and you can feel free to join the conversation even if you haven’t had time to read. Our biweekly discussions seek to inform strategies for winning a democratic socialist society that thrives ecologically. All are welcome!
