Trump may try to steal the election or alternatively Biden may win it handily. The left needs to be prepared either way to fight for working class interests leading up to November 3\, on November 3\, and through the next presidency. At our meeting tomorrow we’ll discuss:\n\nHow should the left and DSA fight back if Trump tries to steal the election? DESCRIPTION:2020 Seattle DSA Convention\n  \n** NOTE: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic\, the convention and LC election will be held online. Bylaws and resolutions will be postponed. ** \nAll members of Seattle DSA both active and inactive are encouraged to attend this partial 2020 annual convention\, adjusted for the coronavirus. Among other things\, we will have a Q/A with the candidates for the the 13-member local council for 2020. In order for the results to be binding a minimum quorom of 10% of members is required. \nThe bylaws amendments and resolutions portion of the 2020 Convention have been postponed to the next in-person membership meeting. \n2020 Local Council Elections\nThe Local Council is our thirteen-member\, democratically elected leadership body of Seattle DSA. Positions are elected annually\, so all thirteen positions are up for election on March 29nd. According to our bylaws\, “The Local Council shall carry out actions which advance the principles\, policies\, strategies\, and campaigns enumerated by the Membership in General Meetings.
