What We Do
Access Working Group reduces and eliminates barriers that prevent members from being active within or joining Seattle DSA to ensure equitable access for all, in keeping with socialist solidarity and inclusion principles.
We draft and implement policies and protocols concerning childcare, disability accommodations, alternative meeting times and locations, language needs, chapter culture, and any other needs that may arise within our chapter’s population. This living policy framework remains open to updates and improvements, reflecting our ongoing commitment to equity and inclusion.
We plan to eventually branch out further into the community to do advocacy and accessibility work outside SDSA in partnership with other community organizations.
