What We Do
Seattle DSA opposes the slaughter, occupation, and siege of Palestinians that continues unabated in Israel’s war on Gaza. Seattle DSA opposes the war, occupation, and Apartheid by Israel, and we support Palestinian liberation. DSA members in Seattle and nationwide have been energetic participants in the protests, marches, occupations, and blockades against Israel’s war. However, Seattle DSA with its large membership can and wants to do more. This working group will be tasked with activating and mobilizing DSA members to the weekly anti-war, pro-Palestinian rallies. Moreover, this working group will look to work with other forces (pro-Palestinian orgs, unions, other socialists) to organize actions and educational anti-war, pro-Palestinian events with the goal of forming a coherent Seattle area Palestine Coalition. This working group will also look to organize Seattle DSA-hosted events related to Palestinian liberation. Additionally, this working group will eventually house internationalist, anti-imperialist, and anti-war work for the chapter including political education and organizing and outreach to other anti-imperialist formations in the region (e.g. opposing APEC).
