Two years ago, MLK Labor Council became independent of the Seattle Police Officers’ Guild, allowing them to stand for all workers, including those victimized by police violence & killings. On May 18th, 5-8 PM at the Seattle Central College South Lawn, some labor leaders want to undo this victory of the 2020 uprising for black lives.
Join rank-and-file workers & union members coming together to say “Keep SPOG Out!”
We’ll have:
- rank-and-file speakers
- Potluck dinner
- Labor solidarity movie screening
Police protect private property of the rich, and keep black and brown labor hyper-exploited. Policing & incarceration has never and will never reduce crime.
Hear from fellow workers about a vision of public safety that’s rooted in having basic needs met like housing, food, education, & transit.
Sign the petition and join us in person to show the MLK Labor Council that rank-and-file workers stand together in solidarity to keep SPOG out. All workers & students are welcome.
