Join District 5 this Saturday at 3:00pm for a covid-19 organizing strategy session followed by a discussion about who should pay for this crisis.
During the COVID-19 strategy session we want to discuss what we can do to apply pressure to elected officials / employers now. What tactics should we take as a group to pressure elected officials, as well as tenant organizing, and mutual aid? People can no longer congregate publicly, how does that affect our ability to build a socialist movement?
Our strategy session will be followed by a discussion regarding the capitalist classes response to COVID-19.
Are we headed towards a second Great Depression? How did we get here? We know that capitalism is to blame, but how exactly? How are profits made? Who are the 1%? And the working class? How would socialism be any different?
