Join us Thursday 2/15 at 6:45 to discuss the article “Planned Degrowth: Ecosocialism and Sustainable Human Development” by John Bellamy Foster, from Monthly Review.
The article recognizes the need to challenge current notions of “prosperity” and to move to a sustainable model of human development that meets the needs of individuals and communities. It argues for a revolutionary shift in the social relations governing the means production, and the planning of our economy around the survival of the species, rather than the endless drive to accumulation.
You don’t have to live in District 4 or 5, and you can feel free to join the conversation even if you haven’t had time to read. All are welcome!
