Join us 5/16 to discuss two articles. The first, “State-Run Oil Companies and the Energy Transition: The case of Colombia’s Ecopetrol”, by Daniel Chavez and Lala Peñaranda, came to us by way of Trade Unionists for Energy Democracy. And “Italy’s Longest-Ever Factory Occupation” shows how workers can transform production, from Jacobin by Francesca Gabbriellini and Giacomo Gabbuti.
We will also talk about whether to start a new book, or what else to read next.
You don’t have to live in District 4 or 5, and you can feel free to join the conversation even if you haven’t had time to read. All are welcome! We seek to inform strategies for winning a democratic socialist society that thrives ecologically.
