Join us 8/8 at Armistice Coffee Roosevelt to discuss two readings: “Extractivism and Resistance in North Africa” by Hamza Hamouchene and “Violence and Care” by Maggie Fitzgerald . After these, on 8/22, we will start discussing the book The Price Is Wrong: Why Capitalism Won’t Save the Planet (Brett Christophers, from Verso).
Our discussions seek to inform strategies for winning a democratic socialist society that thrives ecologically. You don’t have to live in District 4 or 5, and you can feel free to join the conversation even if you haven’t had time to read. All are welcome!
