Join us 10/24 at Armistice Coffee Roosevelt to discuss articles relating to the passage of the Build Public Renewals Act (BPRA) by the New York state legislature in May 2023, and an article bringing us back to our situation in Washington State. The articles are “New York Socialists Won Big On Climate. How Did It Happen?“, “The Next Front in Climate Activism Is De-Privatizing Utilities” and “How Washington State’s Climate Legacy Wound Up on the Ballot”
We will also talk about choosing another book to read, so come on by.
Our discussions seek to inform strategies for winning a democratic socialist society that thrives ecologically. You don’t have to live in District 4 or 5, and you can feel free to join the conversation even if you haven’t had time to read. All are welcome!
