District 3 Phonebank: Calling our fellow SDSA District 3 members

Join your District 3 comrades for an internal phonebank! We’ll be calling up our fellow friendly neighborhood socialists to mobilize them to upcoming events and engage in political discussion. Most importantly, we’ll be talking to folks about organizing online town halls this Fall to put pressure on wavering City Council members to stick to their promises of defunding SPD by at least 50%! This is an important way we as DSA can contribute to the movement calling to defund the police and reallocate funding to Black working-class communities. It’s also important for us as socialists in a political organization to engage each other in conversation for our collective political development, especially as the pandemic continues and many of our comrades feel isolated.
This is a fun, easy action to take. We’ll meetup on Zoom before making calls to prepare.
