DSA Nationwide Reproductive Rights Strategy Session Webinar

January 11, 2020 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join us at 11AM, Saturday January 11th for the DSA Nationwide Reproductive Rights Strategy Session Webinar! The Right has spent decades attacking abortion access with increasing fervor — increasingly restrictive abortion regulations, firebombs at health clinics, the assassination of providers, the prosecution of individual women, and the setting a legal framework to bestow “personhood” on fetus. As socialists, we must see these attacks as what they are: class war on the most vulnerable. In the past three years, feminist strikes have mobilized millions people around the world for abortion access, it’s time to bring that spirit to the U.S. Join DSA chapters across the country for the first national webinar hosted by the Mass Strike for Reproductive Freedom campaign. We are launching this campaign with a national strategy session because we want to build a campaign based on the work that is already happening. Our strategy is to connect various struggles to issues of reproduction and increase our capacity to coordinate on state and national levels. Join the conversation! The strategy session will start off with a Q&A session with Tithi Bhattacharya (Feminism for the 99%) , Jenny Brown (Without Apology), Dr. Ghazaleh Moayedi (Physicians for Reproductive Health), and Rockie Gonzalez (National Network of Abortion Funds). The panel will be followed by break outs to discuss our local campaigns, targets and how this can inform a national strategy.
