Labor Showcase at NW Folklife Festival

Another great Labor Showcase awaits you at this year’s Northwest Folklife Festival. Amplifying this year’s theme of celebrating the 20th anniversary of Festal — the series of smaller festivals that appreciate the many and diverse cultures we have in our region — the Seattle Labor Chorus brings you gritty and inspiring stories from our immigrant communities illustrated with song from the Chorus. The rest of the 2 1/2 hour show will feature stories by and about Native Americans, spoken word from the Black Lives Matter movement, and a lively Kenyan band. Immerse yourself in the hot topics of immigration and cultural diversity! Come to Seattle Center, the Charlotte Martin Theatre, on Sunday evening May 28th, 7:30-10:00 P.M. Free or donation.
