Fighting for Housing Rights and Workers’ Rights During Covid-19: A District 2 Virtual Community Forum with Councilmember Tammy Morales hosted by Seattle DSA
The COVID-19 pandemic has our community on edge. Renters and homeowners are struggling to get by and frontline workers are facing impossible decisions between job security and personal safety. Join Seattle DSA and Councilmember Tammy Morales for a Zoom forum about how our community can respond to this crisis to make sure South Seattle residents and workers have what we need.
We’ll hear from Councilmember Morales and Seattle DSA, who are calling on Governor Jay Inslee for a rent and mortgage moratorium during the crisis. We’ll also hear from Violet Lavatai, Executive Director of the Tenants Union of Washington State, PCC workers demanding safe conditions, and other community members organizing for action.
