SDSA + IAM/Delta Phonebanking

Did you enjoy phonebanking or canvassing this recent special election and want to keep the organizing energy going? Do you want to be part of one of the largest union drives in the country?

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) has reached out to DSA chapters nationwide to assist with the groundwork for their organizing drive at Delta Airlines.

This is a collaboration between IAM members at other airlines, Delta employees who want the union, IAM organizers, and DSA members including Seattle DSA’s own Labor Working Group. Our role is to help workers and union organizers reach members outside the workplace, because the airport is such a heavily surveilled environment.

We will be phonebanking Delta workers whose union cards have expired. We are trying to get them to re-sign their cards as every card counts in a union certification!

Meet us at the Rainier branch library (9125 Rainier Ave S, Seattle, WA 98118) @ 2pm. We’ll send further instructions the day before the event on what you’ll need to bring, but a cell phone of your own will be essential.
