Seattle DSA District 2 Meet Up: Democratic Socialists and Bernie Sanders’ Thurgood Marshall Plan for Education

School’s back in session and Bernie’s Thurgood Marshall Plan for Education is a plan to breathe life back into public education. The plan includes ending charter schools, guaranteeing higher education for every young person, forgiving student debt, combating racism in schools, making sure educators are paid fairly, and helping rebuild unions.

Come discuss what the upsurge in both teacher strikes and socialist politics mean for 2020 and how we can help get the first socialist elected president, begin rebuilding the labor movement, and build a socialist party that can help carry out Bernie’s education revolution.

Note: We’ll be meeting at Tippe & Drague on Beacon Hill. Weather permitting we will be outside, where you can order drinks, but no food is allowed. So if you’re going to want to nosh, plan to come early and order food before the meeting begins!
