Socialist Night School – Online!

Socialist Night School is an open course that provides a chance to develop our politics together, regardless of background knowledge or whether you’ve attended a class before. We’re making the transition to online political education! Our first Socialist Night School Zoom call will be next Monday, April 6th @ 7PM! We hope to be able to do online sessions of Socialist Night School every 2-3 weeks, and we plan for each session to be about an hour and a half.

The theme for this session is solidarity. We’ll discuss the Oakland Teachers Strike and Bread for Ed (a mutual aid effort to support educators and students during the strike), and some of the current labor actions occurring in response to the pandemic. If questions you’d like to ask come to mind while you’re doing the readings or thinking about the topic, keep those in mind and we’ll work them into the discussion.
