Stop Trump from Stealing the Election: Planning Meeting

October 22, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Trump is doing everything he can to undermine ballot counting and mobilize his supporters to engage in racist voter intimidation. If the initial vote count is close on Election Day, he could try to steal the election and encourage the Supreme Court not to count all votes. To prepare, DSA’s Local Council has called an Action Assembly to bring activists and progressive organizations together.  This will put the left in a stronger position to spring into action if we need to organize mass non-violent protests, civil disobedience, and strikes, which are our strongest weapons.  DSA will not offer any political support to Biden, but we will build a united front with others to defend the democratic rights of the working class and people of color. And if Biden ends up taking power, this Action Assembly will also help the left prepare to fight under a Biden administration.

We really need your help with postering, calling and texting DSA members, and reaching out to unions & organizations! So please join this planning meeting Thursday at 5 pm.

Please mark your calendar to participate in the Action Assembly on Sunday, Nov. 1 at 3 pm at Cal Anderson Park!

And please RSVP and invite friends to this event page!
