Seattle DSA voted to explore campaigning for a “Tax Amazon & Big Business” ballot initiative to tax the richest corporations in Seattle and use the funds for the common good. There is huge momentum in Seattle for this and the November 2020 election will likely see a record high turnout of working class voters. Seattle DSA can help lead the way!

At this first committee meeting we will discuss our next steps in helping build a democratic grassroots coalition to bring together a broad layer of Seattle voters and activists around this effort, and reactivate and recruit DSA members to build the largest possible socialist wing of the movement!
