Why did Corbyn lose? w/ Paul Murphy, socialist Irish MP

January 8, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - January 10, 2020 @ 9:00 pm

Why did Jeremy Corbyn lose and what are the conclusions for socialists internationally? Was he ‘too far left’ as the media is saying? Did activists not fight hard enough to get him elected? What was the role of Brexit? Could it have turned out differently?

Join District 2 DSA for a conversation about this important event which will be used by many in the corporate media to claim it as proof that Bernie can’t win in the US.

Paul Murphy, an elected member of the Irish national parliament and member of the group RISE (Revolutionary, International, Socialist, and Environmentalist), is in Seattle, and will be attending as a special guest to give us some up-close insights on this important discussion.

So come on down and talk. You’re invited, whether you live in District 2 or not. We’ll be meeting at the Hillman City Collaboratory at 7pm this Friday.
