#Women channel is starting a reading group. Our first book is “Caliban and the Witch: Women, the Body and Primitive Accumulation” by Silvia Federici, a Marxist Italian feminist, most famous for her work in the “Wages for Housework” movement in the 70s.
We will read the introduction and the first two sections (“All the World Needs a Jolt” and “The Accumulation of Labor and the Degradation of Women”), and discuss them a month from now at noon on Saturday, June 24th. email [email protected] or ask slack in the #women’s channel for address.
