8,000 courageous healthcare workers are going on strike at Swedish this week to demand safe staffing levels for patients and reasonable wage increases.
Instead of our regular session, the Workplace Organizing Collective will join the picket lines at Swedish First Hill alongside other DSAers and community allies. Join us to support the striking workers and to see firsthand what a strong picket line looks like!
When: Wednesday, January 29 6:30pm-8:30pm
Where: Meet at the Starbucks to east of Seattle University (800 12th Ave, Seattle, WA 98122) Come directly to Swedish First Hill after 6:45pm. Text Alex at 360.209.4527 if you can’t find us or have questions!
How: Jump in and grab a picket sign provided by the union. Join chants and talk with workers. Ask about why they’re on strike and learn how they got organized to take this huge action!
