Tour the three tumultous years of Chile’s attempt at a peaceful transition to Socialism: the Popular Unity Government of Salvador Allende, the thousand days that shook the world. How can we use the Chilean experience as a way of thinking about what we might (and might not) face if Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez or Bernie Sanders were in the Oval Office? How we can struggle to make sure that this has a better ending than the one in Chile? Our guides will be Marian Schlotterbeck, Philip Wohlstetter, Jaime Concha, and Dani Tutt of East Bay DSA.
