District 2 Neighborhood Meeting

June 18, 2019 @ 6:15 pm - 8:30 pm

Come meet up with District 2/South Seattle DSA members to discuss what work we can do here in the south end! We’ll be meeting at Tippe & Drague Alehouse on Beacon Hill – 3315 Beacon Ave S, Seattle, WA 98144: Tuesday, June 18 at 6:15pm.

Here are a few ideas we plan to discuss:
– Organizing a public event to engage people who are interested in our politics. For example, we could do something like “What We Could Accomplish with a Socialist in the White House” | Tons of people in D2 are looking for a way to help Bernie get elected. How can we organize to win, build a multi-racial feminist socialist movement connected with the biggest grassroots campaign in history, and build DSA into a far bigger, socialist party?
– How can we get high turnout to DSA’s Democratic Party debate watch parties on June 26 & 27th?
– Connecting to local campaigns: organizing against mega-gentrifier and Ari Hoffman-supporter Uncle Ike, supporting the campaign against cuts to South Seattle schools.
– Please bring other ideas as well!
