The Killings of George Floyd & Ahmaud Arbery: How should socialists fight racism & what can DSA do in Seattle? Next District 3 Mtg

May 28, 2020 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Join DSA District 3 members to discuss…

The killing of George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery in Georgia and the disproportionate effects of COVID19 on communities of color have brought to the fore, once again, the brutal reality for people of color under capitalism – unrelenting misery and oppression. How do we build a multi-racial movement in the US today in the era of Trump, an open racist, with our history of slavery and racism? What is the role of socialists in the fight against racism?  What can we do in Seattle DSA, in Seattle, in solidarity with the mass movement in Minneapolis that is demanding the police be arrested?

We’ll also be discussing the tax Amazon for Green New Homes 🏡 campaign. The month of June is a critical month in the pursuit of 21,000 signatures to get on the ballot in November.  Have you filled out your petition that was mailed to every Seattle DSA member? Need a petition or it picked up by a DSA member? Contact us!
