Queer & Feminist Caucus: Postal Workers’ Strike of 1970

August 22, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

Join the Queer and Feminist Caucus for our every-three-weeks Labor & Revolutionary History Happy Hour, featuring working class struggles led by women and queer people throughout history. This week we’re taking a quick detour from our timeline (don’t worry, we’ll be back in the 1830s after this!) with a discussion on the Postal Workers’ strike of 1970 and the lessons it holds for today!

This week we’ll learn about the Postal Workers’ Strike of 1970, an 8-day wildcat strike that transformed the post office into what it is today, and won a living wage and better working conditions.

RSVP here!

Join us on the Queer & Feminist Slack channel if you have ideas, would like to help organize, or have any questions!
