DSA Organizing Committee meeting

July 25, 2020 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Co-chairs of Working Groups and District Groups as well as Local Council members are invited to the third monthly meeting of the Organizing Committee.

The Internal Organizers are thinking the 2 main agenda topics for this meeting should be:

(1) How can we win the defunding of SPD by 50%?

(2) Resolutions the SDSA membership will vote on at the August General Membership Meeting

There is room on the agenda for a few other items, and we’d really love these meetings to be a collaborative process. So we’d love to get your input on the agenda! Are there items you’d like the whole group to discuss or help plan? Please post suggestions in the Slack Organizing Committee channel, preferably by Thurs July 23 at 10 a.m.

July 18 at midnight is/was the deadline for members to submit resolutions for the chapter to vote on at the August business meeting. An initial discussion on these resolutions at our Organizing Committee meeting will provide some of our most active members more information about the resolutions and an opportunity to ask questions and potentially have some comradely discussion. This should help co-chairs decide whether there are relevant resolutions to bring to your specific working group or district group for discussion and feedback before the General Membership Meeting.

Please mark your calendar for the Organizing Committee meeting: Sat. July 25 at 2 pm.

And most importantly, please RSVP here to get the Zoom link!

Members interested in observing this meeting are invited to RSVP as well.
