Stop the Sweep at Cal Anderson

On Monday 12/14 at 7AM, Seattle Police mobilized in riot gear and with over 29 vehicles to raid the Cal Anderson occupation and evict our neighbors who live there. Comrades—mostly the same burnt out & traumatized BIPOC protestors— quickly mobilized to defend the encampment. SPD posted a notice that they will return to raid Cal Anderson, displace many vulnerable people, and steal all their belongings on Wednesday 12/16 at 7:00AM.
We socialists have a responsibility to defend our community; as we often chant: “What do we do when our neighbors are under attack—STAND UP, FIGHT BACK!”
WE NEED PEOPLE AT THE PARK AT 7:00AM WEDNESDAY. If community members outnumber the police, we can stop the raid.
You do not need to be prepared to confront/ engage with the police. This is not the barricades. We are there to prevent and document state sanctioned violence
