De-escalation Training

March 27, 2022 @ 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Join Seattle DSA and the Puget Sound John Brown Gun Club as we discuss de-escalation! This will cover how to identify a threat and steps to take when to de-escalate a tense/dangerous situation.

Whether we’re on the picket line, hosting a tabling event, leading a march, demo, or protest, when confronted with aggressive or hostile actors, we help keep each other safe, and conflict resolution through de-escalation is the primary tool in our belt to do so. This training is open to all SDSA members, and is useful to anyone who plans to host any public events.

Even though covid restrictions are easing, please wear a mask out of consideration for our immunocompromised & other comrades (e.g., those with young children).

We will be holding a short Mobilization Committee meeting at the beginning, then proceed into the training.

Location TBA.
