Join the Reproductive Justice Working group as we listen to and discuss a podcast on the developments so far in the Mifepristone case. You can find it here. The podcast discusses the implications of the legal precedents that are being pushed for, as well as some the facts around abortion and mifepristone that are helpful to know as context.
Our discussion questions are:
- How do you think that prior discussions of other abortion cases is influencing coverage of this one? For instance, the podcast emphasizes that the FDA has the real power here for now, but the coverage is all focusing on the supreme court.
- The podcast mentions the precedent that is being pushed for around enforcing the Comstock act. What do you think it would take to get Congress to act to remove it?
- What can we do around this case? What areas do you feel you have the most leverage?
