Join labor organizers from across Seattle from 9 AM to 4 PM on September 30th at South Seattle College in West Seattle for 2023’s Puget Sound Trouble Makers School. If you haven’t already registered do so here!
This is a good opportunity not only to learn some new skills but also to meet other labor activists. To help with that Seattle DSA members will be reaching out to those who have RSVP’d through this link (not the Labor Notes registration page) to meet up after the event to get to know one another.

Description from Event Organizers Below:
Calling all troublemakers! That means you: union members, leaders, shop stewards, worker center activists, folks new to organizing. Activists from around the Puget Sound area are coming together for a day of workshops and sessions to connect and learn from each other how to build the movement we need.
The planet is heating up, wages are way behind inflation, and corporations are taking home more profits than ever. But we are seeing a huge surge in organizing! Unions of all kinds are organizing and taking the fight to their bosses. We see brand new unions, labor-organized community campaigns, workplace actions and strikes and more challenging the power and winning.
Join Labor Notes and labor activists from around the area to strategize, share skills, and learn ways to organize to win.
Troublemakers Schools are day-long mini-conferences that cover organizing skills and highlight real-world examples of taking on the boss – and winning. Whether you’re new to union activism or are an experienced union activist, there’s something there for you!
