UAW Picket in Portland

Last weekend several Seattle DSA members and a few UAW 4121 Members went down to the UAW Picket Lines. If you’d be interest in going down this Saturday or helping out the strike or the labor movement here are some options below:
- Join the picket line on Saturday! The closest picket to us is at a Parts Distribution Center (PDC) in Portland. We’re pulling together a group to carpool down & back this Saturday 10/7, leaving sometime in the morning. There’s no guarantee that we will have enough ride space but the sooner you reach out the sooner we can try and figure something out and if you can give a ride that would be a great help. - If you can’t join the pickets this weekend, join next week or weekend! You can sign up here to get connected & coordinate carpools (along with UAW 4121)
- Contribute to the hardship & strike support fund: Anything helps. You can make a contribution here (& include a note that you’re sending solidarity from SDSA!)
- If you can’t make it down to Portland this weekend, participate in other important labor actions in Seattle!  Raise the Wage Renton canvasses on 10/7 and 10/8
Note: If you haven’t already gone out to canvass for RTW this week and your debating between going to the UAW picket lines and RTW Canvassing we’d encourage you to go canvassing there will be time to go to other picket lines (this strike or another) in the future.
