Fight for a just Comprehensive Plan!

Join your Seattle DSA comrades next Friday, Sept. 12, to advocate for pro-housing policies in Seattle’s Comprehensive Plan! This is a once-in-a-decade opportunity to ensure Seattle’s housing crisis is treated with the bold action it demands. The public on the comprehensive plan is the perfect opportunity to tell city council why we need them to prioritize a plan that legalizes the housing Seattle needs. Commenters should be ready to deliver one-minute statements to the council. If you’re unsure where to start, check out these talking points. We would love to see you in person, but you can also comment remotely. Virtual comment begins at 9:30 a.m., and you can sign up here between 8:30 & 10 a.m.
If you’re attending in person, meet us at City Hall at 2 p.m. to begin signing up for public comment. Or join us at 1 p.m. for a pre-hearing rally with our friends from House Our Neighbors. Housing advocates from across the city will be on hand to help you craft your statement.
After the hearing, join the Housing Justice Working Group for a social at Art Marble 21 in South Lake Union!
