D2 Meeting: Covid-19 and the Crisis of Capitalism (Zoom Call)

March 26, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

As the COVID-19 crisis makes it plain to see, we are in a class war, and the ruling class would rather work us to the bone than take a profit cut. In what new ways are we currently exploited, and what new ways do we see to act with solidarity and fight back to reclaim our class power? And as the Bernie campaign continues, how would and wouldn’t his campaign platform address our issues and help our fight? How can we as socialists help continue the fight for our basic needs during the crisis, while pointing a way forward toward an end to the system of capitalism that enables crises like this in the first place? RSVP below to join our online discussion on Thursday, March 26th at 6PM!

RSVP here (https://bit.ly/3bdpov9) for call-in details.

If you’re in need during this time, there are various mutual aid groups active to help. Several SDSA members are active with Covid19MutualAid, which has a number of resources available here (https://tinyurl.com/ted9e3c).

Additionally, in case you find yourself with some extra spare time, the Washington Bernie campaign is looking for volunteers to do ballot chasing after ~70K ballots were denied.

Check your ballot at https://bernie2020.quickbase.com/db/bqc5vjqrx, and to sign up as an online volunteer here! (https://bit.ly/2WuyGPc).
