On Thursday, April 21 we will be reading the first three sections of “For a Libertarian Communism,” a collection of writings by the French revolutionary activist and historian Daniel Guerin (1904-1988), published in English for the first time in 2017. The articles explore a synthesis between Marxism and anarchism.

(Note: the first section of the article is a long introduction to Guerin’s life and work. Read it if you like, but our discussion will be focused on the three sections titled, “The Rehabilitation of Anarchism,” “Proudhon and Workers’ Self-Management,” and “Three Problems of the Revolution.”

New members are always welcome! Join us! This is a political education series to sharpen our thinking and communication skills in our organizing for democratic socialism. Many areas of practice will be addressed and tied into the struggle to create an Ecosocialist society. Everyone is welcome to join via Zoom for now; we will meet in D4 or D5 when we can again meet in person. We are starting with articles or book chapters/excerpts to make it easier for everyone to attend when they can.
